How Tree Properties Limited handles personal information relating to enquiries, investor registrations, property opportunities and business relationships.

Depending on how you deal with us, we may collect:

  • investment strategy, experience and development preferences;
  • property or opportunity information you choose to provide;
  • messages, additional notes and records of our communications;
  • limited technical and security information generated during website use, including information needed to prevent spam and abuse.

3. How information is collected

Information may be collected through the investor registration form, contact form, email, telephone and direct business communications. Cloudflare Turnstile also generates a short-lived verification token when a form is protected against automated abuse.

  • identifying potentially suitable opportunities;
  • progressing an introduction or sourcing engagement;
  • administering agreements and business relationships;
  • handling feedback and complaints;
  • maintaining appropriate business, legal and accounting records;
  • protecting the website, forms and business from spam, fraud and abuse.

5. Lawful bases

The lawful basis depends on the circumstances. We may process information to take steps you request before entering a contract, to perform a contract, for legitimate interests in operating and protecting the business and assessing relevant opportunities, or to comply with legal obligations. Consent will be used where it is specifically requested, including for optional marketing if that is introduced. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.

6. Who information may be shared with

Where relevant and proportionate, information may be shared with:

  • Microsoft 365 for business communications;
  • Cloudflare for website hosting, security and form processing;
  • Resend for transactional form-email delivery;
  • legal, accounting and other professional advisers where necessary;
  • architects, structural engineers, builders, agents and other professionals where relevant to an opportunity or engagement;
  • public authorities where disclosure is legally required.

Tree Properties Limited does not sell personal information.

7. International transfers

Some technology providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where a restricted international transfer takes place, we rely on an applicable adequacy arrangement, contractual safeguard or another lawful protection where required.

8. Security

We use proportionate technical and organisational measures to protect information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, alteration and disclosure. Access is limited to people and providers who need the information for a legitimate purpose.

9. Retention

Information is retained only for as long as reasonably required for the enquiry, investor relationship, contract, complaint, or related legal and accounting obligations. Retention periods vary according to the nature of the relationship and record. Information is deleted or securely archived when it is no longer required.

10. Your legal rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to:

  • request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • request deletion where the law allows;
  • request restriction of processing;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests;
  • receive certain information in a portable format where applicable;

11. Children

Tree Properties' services and website are intended for adults involved in property and business matters. They are not intended for children, and we do not knowingly seek information from children.

The forms do not ask for health information, ethnicity, religion, political opinions, biometric information or other special-category personal data. Please do not provide this information unless it is genuinely necessary and you have first discussed the reason with us.

13. Third-party links

The website links to services controlled by other organisations. Their privacy notices apply when you visit them, and Tree Properties Limited is not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
